Avanti con “Across the
incontrassero i vecchi Satyricon, “Über…” è davvero una piccola gemma nera…
etichette, cosa aspettate a ristamparlo? Buy or die!

This album , released in 2012, was the debut for the long distance for the band from Turin, after a first demo and an EP. I must say that in the 8 songs contained here, Helvoth and Sariel , the minds of the group assisted in this work by Alessio Antolovich ( former Tronus Abyss ) on drums , have been able to add new elements to their sound , without distorting .This means that the Grimwald have explored genres such as doom and ambient and have them expertly mixed to their black metal, sometimes cold and fierce , sometimes dreamlike , dreamy .The album opens up with an intro of keyboards , which is the first part of the trilogy of "The supreme center" and the song is short, but solemn , and leads us to "Moon of doom ", fast piece, rhythmic and with apocalyptic lyrics. Let's proceed with " Unsatisfiable Will ", a song by the excellent riffs and rhythmic ; feels that the group is not afraid to dare, this is black metal, but has a great personality."The supreme center part II - Augusta Taurinorum " is the second part of the trilogy about the city of Turin , a piece that emphasizes the historical roots and rituals of the Savoy capital in a hypnotic pace and angry , evil and dark .Let's proceed with "Across the eerie forests of Grimland ," which is nothing more than the title track translated into English, and here I notice a likely philosophical approach old Immortal style, where if Blashyrkh for them was a frozen and imaginary ground, so for Grimwald it is Grimland , a gloomy place and the woods that lead to lost, as stated in the text. Then let's go towards the end of the album with a hat-trick by chills, where the third part of the trilogy cites the alchemical caves in Turin, where the occult and mystery blend , while " The Black Sun " comes on between malice , hatred and guitars that tear .The last track is "El Bosch ", or the woods. Sung / recited in Piedmontese dialect by Helvoth ( first time behind the microphone ) into a pagan dreamlike chant, which concludes the CD with dignity .Just like the Ævangelist encounter the old Satyricon , " Über..." is really a small black gem ... labels, what are you waiting to reprint it ? Buy or die !
